Week 8: Time to Move My Body in Pregnancy

This has been a good week so far!

I’m not passing out sitting up but feeling fairly energetic. The nausea is still at bay, but I feel it now when I get up in the middle of the night to pee (which is at least 2-3 times per night, if anyone is wondering…).

I’ve been trying to move more this week – I have been so inactive these past 5-6 weeks I can’t remember the last time I moved my body this little. During the first weeks, I was so nauseous and then so tired and frankly, practicing vinyasa or going for a run are the last things on my mind.

I’ve been practicing yoga but only gentle, slow stretches. Up dog suddenly doesn’t feel good, or anything that stretches the front of my body. I know I need to get moving though or I’m going to swell up to the size of a balloon! I think we’ll go swimming today, that feels the same as always. I like power snorkeling, swimming at high speeds with my fins. It’s a good workout and so beautiful at the same time. Overall, week 8 has been good!
